The key verse of Awana is 2 Timothy 2:15: "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be shamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."
It's the best message a child, young person, or adult could ever receive: For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9). Children, teens, and adults find hope for eternal life in the finished work of Christ on the cross.
Awana offers a unique combination of fun & games PLUS Bible-based learning. Young people hear a clear presentation of the gospel and memorize Scripture according to a systematic plan for learning key Bible doctrines.
