STATEMENT OF FAITH OF LANAKILA BAPTIST SCHOOLS

We believe that the Bible is the only infallible, verbally inspired Word of God and that it is, therefore, our final authority in matters of faith, practice, and conduct.

We believe in the eternally existing, triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the Deity of Jesus Christ in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, and in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, where He now acts as Mediator and Advocate.

We believe in the personal, imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ for His own, in His later return in power and glory with His own to reign in righteousness over the earth and in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost -- they that are saved into the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

We believe that Heaven is the place of eternal blessedness for the saved and that Hell is the place of eternal conscious punishment for the lost.

We believe that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for the salvation of lost and sinful men and that all who receive the Lord Jesus Christ by faith are born again and become the children of God.

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit whose indwelling in all believers enables them to live godly lives.

 PHILOSOPHY

Lanakila Baptist Schools, as a ministry of Lanakila Baptist Church, is dedicated to the Christian development of young men and women.  As such, we believe that Christian education is the best for any child, for it enables him to relate properly to God, himself, family, others and the world.  This is done through an academic program that is based on the absolute truths of the Word of God and by creating an atmosphere of love and concern for our students.

PURPOSES

To assist the parents in their God-given responsibility of educating their children by providing a school dedicated to educational excellence with a scriptural foundation.

To train the whole child spiritually, mentally, physically, and socially.

To instill within each student character, high regard for moral standards, integrity, patriotism, and proper respect for authority.

To create a stable, disciplined environment conducive to learning and to the development of emotional well being of each child.

AMERICANISM

We are proud of the fact that we are Americans.  The liberties that we enjoy are a  result of the heritage of our founders.  The essence of liberty is found in the Bible -- "where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty."  The Christian principles upon which our country was founded are vital for our continued existence as a free nation.

At Lanakila we are concerned about the future of our country and are determined to help the children do their part in upholding the basic convictions against socialism and communism
